Have you been bombarded by the ridiculous amount of CBD products on the market? In my practice I normally steer clear of products promising to be the next best thing to relieve pain. Truth be told, I prefer to test creams, oils, diets, and music for myself before I offer anything to clients. Which leads me to admit, I’ve been testing CBD products for two years and shocker(!) I have found SOME to be super effective.
CBD stands for cannabidiol (kan-uh-buh-dial), an organic compound found in cannabis. Yikes! Cannabis?
“Jodi my goodness, what are my clients going to think?!”
“Hey, I don’t do drugs and I don’t want anyone to think that I do.”
I understand how you feel. I’ve felt the same way too! Do you know what I found? The stigma of a 1936 film, Reefer Madness remains today. Isn’t that crazy? The movie painted the picture of drug dealers lurking in the halls of high schools selling deadly marihuana to vulnerable teenagers. Likewise posters portrayed ‘good girls’ changing in an instant to horny vixens initiating sex. The movie was a part of the campaign that led to the 1937 Marihuana Act and leading later to the Controlled Substance Act of 1970, outlawing any possession of cannabis.
Today it could be a full-time job to stay up-to-date on the legality of cannabis. Every month another state implements a new policy. As of this writing, in Idaho, Wyoming, Tennessee, and South Carolina all cannabis is completely illegal. To be clear, the majority of state laws apply to the INGESTION of cannabis-based products. That means eating, smoking, sub-lingual (under the tongue) and scooping into coffee or shakes etc.
In this PEP TALK, I am talking only about TOPICAL applications; CBD infused oil used on the skin to relieve muscle pain and joint inflammation.
The research shows CBD infused oil is safe and effective for many conditions. My experience demonstrates the same results. During a 60-minute session I have found multiple effects such as sacro-iliac (around tailbone) inflammation decreases, wrist pain is eased, knee pain subsides and even stubborn neck pain calms down.
Here are the buying guidelines I recommend:
1. Use full spectrum CBD versus broad spectrum CBD. Full spectrum means there is at least .3% THC. Like adding a pinch of salt improves the flavor of a dish, research shows the body responds better with just a hint of THC.
2. Use CBD oils or creams that have a Certificate of Authenticity listing the batch number so you know for sure where it has been grown and processed.
3. Buy a CBD product that uses CO2 extraction. Other oil extraction processes use high heat and/or butane. High heat can compromise the integrity of the plant properties. Butane has tested to have toxic properties.
Of course you can try it for yourself to test the effectiveness.
I’ve been using CBD products from a company I know very well. I’m a partner at Green Sunshine, a company that delivers high quality products and top-notch CBD education. Grown in Kentucky and taken straight from the field to the commercial kitchen, this product has three ingredients: coconut oil, CBD and sunflower lecithin.
Today you are getting VIP access to order a bundle or anything else on the Green Sunshine website. No minimums. No need to be an approved wholesale customer. You’re part of my posse. So you get the goods!
I know you’ll enjoy using CBD on your own body, for your family and for your clients. Please shoot me a note about how you are trying out the product. I’d love to hear about your experience!
