Have you asked yourself the ten million dollar question? Be prepared. If you choose to participate, your life could change in 30 seconds. Grab a pen and a piece of paper. We are not diving into the depths of your soul. But let’s have some fun. You’ve been warned. If you ask yourself these questions, life as you know it may not be the same.
Here we go. If I had $10,000,000 dollars in the bank, what would my life look like?
If I had $10,000,000 in the bank, what would change? Pause here for a moment. Grab your pen. Jot down three things.
Where would you live? In the mountains? At the beach? Both? Would you have a townhouse or a single family home?
Imagine your bedroom. Would you have a master bathroom? A walk in shower? A walk in closet? What kind of clothes would be in your closet?
Where would you shop?
What kind of car would you drive? A convertible? An electric SUV?
Jot it down.
What would your days look like? Would you do work? Would you exercise? What exercise do you like to do? Yoga? Long walks? Zumba?
Would you have a pet? Would you volunteer at a pet shelter? More coffee with friends? Would you travel when it’s safe to do so? Where would you go?
You have ten million dollars in the bank. You could rent a villa in Italy for a month if you want!Make some notes.
These words, these answers, my friends, sing the song of your heart. The true you. Nice to meet you. It may have been a minute since you paid any attention to this part of yourself. The dreamer, the wishful, the hopeful part of yourself. Work tends to beat the crap out of that part of us. This year you have worked hard to find some optimism. Today let’s touch base with the essence of who you are. We could call this finding your authentic self, but normally I call it making the ‘Someday Maybe’ wish list.

Sara Ban Breathnach in her book, Simple Abundance says we become authentic the same way we become courageous. By doing it. Not by thinking about it. By writing these words down, saying them out loud you are doing it. You didn’t spend four hours in a workshop creating a dream board. (Although that sounds fun!) But you did, just now, throw a pebble into the water.
When you throw a stone into a pool of water it makes a splash. The ripple moves out. You disrupt the calm exterior appearance of the water. Same with writing down how you life would be different. You have desires in your heart that are your ‘Someday Maybe’ and have not yet manifested.
Great! So what now?
May I suggest that doing something a little differently is where we begin. Maybe only you know you’ve done it differently. But that’s all that matters. For example, take a different route to work. Wear red underwear.(Gasp!) Add more spice than normal to an old recipe. Do you always do ‘this’ for New Year’s Eve? How about doing something different? Perhaps go to a burning bowl service. I know half of you already go to a burning bowl service! Never heard of it? Google burning bowl service near me.
Point is do a little something different today. You are demonstrating to yourself, the Universe and anyone else who’s paying attention that you embrace a the phrase, “This or something better!”
Wishing you a very Happy Healthy New Year!
Namaste my lovelies.

Healing From the Inside Out, Not the Outside In
Most people try to heal from the outside in. We are conditioned: if you have a headache, there's a pill for that. If you itch, there's a cream for that. If you have a can't sleep, there's a pill for that too. Is the world mindlessly popping pills that have unexpected...
What is Your Gut Feeling?
I hope you will humor me this month with a slight deviation from the norm. The majority of my writing is about eliminating pain from the body. Today is no exception, except that I am writing about the collective body. You may have noticed the background noise of...
